"We went over polynomials, conjugates, and binomials. We have a large amount of material we have to get done in the near future. We are trying to move as quickly as possible and are currently making a plan to finish the material in a reasonable time."
"Today the student and I started with a brief overview of his Spanish homework - he is learning classroom words and comparative location phrases (close to, far from, in front of, etc.). I told him that de + el = del, which he found pretty exciting. After Spanish we moved on to math. He is now doing semi-complicated multiplication and division of polynomials [ex. (2x+1)(3x^2+4x=5)], but his teacher still hasn't covered the shortcuts to quickly and efficiently multiplying and dividing exponents! So we did some review of that, and it made the rest of his work much easier. He understood this concept well."
"We started covering the student's old tests that he struggled with. We have two more tests to cover before his assessments that are scheduled for April 21. He's doing very well and picking up things very quickly."
"The student and I reviewed box and whisker plots, histograms, and dot plots. We did some basic work with mean, median, and modes. We also worked extensively with parabola vertex forms and graphs."
"The student and I began working on the study guide assigned for her final exam. Because it had been quite a while since she had seen some of the material, she required a quick review."
"We worked on converting numbers between different bases. This involved converting numbers from base 10 to different bases and converting numbers in different bases to base 10. The student seemed to be picking it up pretty quick. We'll finish doing a few of these problems next and move on to graphing polynomials next time."
