Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The topics covered were the following: sum and difference of two cubes, graphing absolute value functions, and graphing quadratic functions. The student needed a review of a few problems to make sure he is prepared for his exam. He has plenty of practice problems to complete. He scored a 92% on his last assessment."
"This session focused on finding arc length and the average value of a function. The student seems to have a solid grasp of the general concepts. He should take some additional time to review integrals involving exponential and logarithmic functions."
"This session focused on test prep strategies and the review of long division. The student's math test was set to cover four problem types: partial quotient division, double-digit divisors, single-digit divisors, and PEMDAS. He practiced sample questions for each type, and stated that he felt comfortable with the material. He was able to independently check his work, and reconcile any errors if needed. He has shown much progress in his stamina for solving math problems, and it is serving him well."
"This session was geared on finishing making up work missed. The student did very well tonight with her work. She was able to remember some previously learned material in order to solve problems. She was eager to use the PEMDAS method to get the problems done."
"This session was good. We changed the way the student studies her tables by doing half tables for each study set. This has proven to be more efficient for her. We will continue to work on multiplication tables while also moving on to fractions."
"This session was in preparation for the student's final exam! He has been getting better at focusing. I am not at all worried about his understanding of the material. Practicing problems is the only way he will be able to practice focusing on a problem long enough to make little to no errors. I feel confident he'll do well on his final."
