The student has a Geometry test tomorrow, so we concentrated completely on that and didn't work on chemistry. He has an up coming chemistry test that our next session will deal with. We worked on the area of trapezoids and polygons through the use of trig. Trig was used in the form of special triangles. He had some difficulty in using the 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangles but after drilling them he got the concepts very well.

The student and I worked on her math homework problems from the book (solving quadratics by factoring and square roots methods). We spent the most time preparing for a physics test by studying the velocity formula, average speed formula, displacement/distance, and graphs of velocity-time.

The two students and I discussed the format of the SAT, as well as their strengths and weaknesses on the diagnostic. We then went through a portion of a writing section (sentence improvement) and a whole math section, and discussed the reasoning behind each question. For homework, I asked them to select 10 words from the vocabulary list that they were unfamiliar with, familiarize themselves with them, and use each word in a sentence.
