Today's session was a review of molarity and molality in Chemistry. We reviewed also the concept of limits of functions. I explained the whole process of analyzing a function from the left (number line) and from the right to get the answer to the limit value, which the function is approaching. We began the review for the final exam, going over once again how to find the domain of functions and how to determine whether there is a horizontal, vertical, or slant asymptote and, if so, how to find it. We created a table for easy remembering and revisited long division with functions for finding oblique asymptotes. We also went over the properties of and operations on logarithms, particularly the rules for multiplication and division of logs, which the student sometimes confuses. We compiled a list of concepts to particularly hone in on that he has been struggling with, including polar coordinates, double and half angle formulas, and trig identities. We will go into these in detail in our next session.
