I am a certified teacher (Integrated Language Arts, 7-12), university adjunct instructor, and professional tutor. I have been teaching and tutoring English, English as a Second Language, SAT/ACT test prep, and college admissions consulting since 2011. I love the opportunities that a one-on-one format can provide for students.

I am a certified teacher in Special Education and general education for grades 1-6. I have most of my experience in special education and truly love it. I believe everyone has the ability to achieve incredible things with the power of knowledge!

I'm finishing up a doctoral degree with a focus on executive function development, persistence, early college transition, and social capital principles.

I think it is important to foster a good learning ability because it is a life skill they can carry with them throughout all seasons of life.

I am a certified Reading Specialist and I hold a Gifted Endorsement. I truly love learning, and I believe the greatest way to impact a person's life is to teach them to love to learn. Learning may be difficult for a multitude of reasons, but learning does not need to be dreadful. I am currently certified to teach PP-12th grade. My most recent teaching experience was 12 years in a public high school as a Resource Room teacher where I was exposed to multiple subject areas in all grades. I have taught academic and study skills, learning strategies classes and High School Literature and Composition classes. I am looking forward to helping your child improve their skills in reading comprehension and fluency as well as writing across content areas.
