Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In today's session, we covered a number of topics in the biological sciences. We reviewed a number of practice passages from last session in areas including genetics, evolution, the musculoskeletal system and the immune system. We then spent the second half of the session going over a number of brief topics in the biological and physical sciences and reviewed a number of practice questions from previous practice tests. Finally, we went over some final test day strategy and her study plan leading up to test day. We discussed not doing any further full-length practice and focusing on reviewing high yield topics over the next few days leading to the exam. As her exam is this Saturday, this was our last tutoring session. I did let her know she could contact me through email for last-minute questions or concerns."
"We covered organic chemistry reactions of aromatic compounds, aldehydes, and ketones. We also reviewed the homework on isomers and naming."
"We focused on behaviorism and research methods. The student primarily struggled with vocabulary integration and teasing apart research details. We talked about problem approach and question/answer anticipation. For next Friday, the student will complete the next lecture in her book, send me the list of new concepts, and convert all concepts learned so far into flashcards for vocabulary review."
