Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is very bright and picks up on concepts quite quickly. We worked on multiplying single digit numbers by 4 digit numbers today. His confidence is growing, which is fantastic. I pushed him a little harder than usual today, and he handled it really well."
"We worked through one homework set from the book and one worksheet, both involving radicals and rationalizing denominators. The student struggled at first but was able to understand the concepts and work through problems on her own."
"Today, the student and I prepared for his quiz tomorrow. We worked through several problems dealing with solutions and concentrations. We discussed how to use the information from a given solution to attain a desired piece of information. We determined how to go from a given concentration to another concentration, and how to determine the amount of solvent within a given solution. Some of the work was tricky, but the student was able to figure most of it out. He struggled most when asked to find the concentration of a given solution, and with understanding the different ways in which he could be asked to find concentration. He has made quite a bit of progress since our last session."
"We went over a practice test the student had done for her admissions test, as well as moving forward with her online syllabus (especially discussing conversions between units)."
"We reviewed the sheet for her upcoming test. He struggled with word problems so we spent the most time on those. We will do more practice with them tomorrow."
"I covered the calculation and graphing of linear equation. He did excellent on the questions I made for him."
