Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We started our session by discussing the student's previous experiences with the admissions test and her expectations for our sessions. She told me she had taken the test once before to gauge its difficulty and had found the math section the most challenging. Consequently, she would like to focus mainly on the mathematics section during our time together. I had her take a shortened diagnostic test consisting of one reading comprehension section, one math section, and one writing section, and timed each section. She finished each section ahead of time but had difficulty with the math section. We therefore started to review the questions she had difficulty with in the math section, both the ones she had answered incorrectly and those she was unable to answer, then moved on to working on some practice problems together. I asked her to attempt some practice problems, looking at the answer explanations for assistance when she encountered difficulties, in preparation for our next session."
"We focused on the verbal section, completed some vocabulary exercises and reviewed standard written English practice."
"We went over the questions in three sections among different practice tests. By the end of the session, the student was able to answer the questions correctly."
