Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"For this session, the student asked me to help her with her pre-calc project. I was able to help her discern which equations matched most of the remaining questions on her assignment. Overall, a fairly successful session."
"We covered log graphs and modifications of log graphs, including change in bases. We discussed using log rules to solve algebraic problems."
"The student and I had our last session today. We went back over his review for his final and picked select problems to re-do and re-work."
"I helped the student with the basics of inequality solving, graphing solution sets, and polynomials. I left him with some homework from his own materials. He grabs the concepts easily with a little help. I'm sure he will be able to improve more and more and get a good grade in his class."
"For the first half, the student reviewed for his test on logs. He should remember the position of the base, exponent, and answer in a log problem. For the second half, we reviewed for his midterm in January. We worked on converting degrees to radians and the value of sin x when cos x is given."
"We finished the rest of the student's PreCalc review packet today. He seems pretty comfortable with the material. His biggest problem is that he switches his negative signs quite a bit. We worked on being careful with them but that is definitely something he should keep practicing and be sure to keep in mind for the test. He said he would look over everything we did for the packet one more time and bring back any questions he has next time."
