Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed for his Ch. 13 test on Tuesday. We reviewed chapter 13 again just to make sure that all of the information was fresh for his tests. We mostly covered Andrew Jackson's presidency and the Texas War of Independence."
"The student and I reviewed the economic and industrial environment of the post-Civil War U.S. We specifically focused on the railroads, and also on the growth of the "millionaire" class. We also explored the growth of the labor movement in the United States."
"During this session we worked on assignments from the first unit and then finished up our discussion on the Bill of Rights. We then went in to detail on chapter 9, discussing the history of the ratification of the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution, as well as the political and economic issues surrounding the nation before the Constitution's ratification."
"We did a review of African history, as well as review of the achievements of North and South American civilizations ( Tulcan, Mayan, Incan)."
"We worked through the chapter on the Renaissance. The student may benefit from writing section summaries and having someone check them for accuracy to ensure he's really assimilating the material."
"We continued to work on the FRQ section of the AP World History mock exam. The student has shown great improvement in her organizational skills in terms of essay structure and groupings of evidentiary support."
