Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went through an online quiz including practice problems covering topics of kinetic friction, static friction, and Newton's three laws."
"The student and I reviewed a practice test in preparation for her exam tomorrow. We paid particular attention to calorimeter problems and heat transfer concepts."
"In today's session, the student and I went over difference between co-dominance and incomplete dominance. We worked on problems that covered both situations. We also went over penetrance."
"Today, we covered the law of 10%, which characterizes the flow of energy in a system. We discussed and did a lab assignment on the flow of energy through a food web and the pyramid structure of a habitat. We discussed how there will always be an interconnected food web and how if one population is harmed, then the whole food web will experience a change or a shift. I left the student with 4 assignments and a quiz, and we will prepare her for the unit test next session. I would like her to focus on the big score assignments that carry the most points so that she can get the highest possible grade with the time allotted."
"Today, we covered the material in the student's PowerPoints for the first 3 lectures, as well as started the 4th. In working through some problems in the PowerPoints, it's clear that she has seen the information before. I'd definitely encourage her to make use of practice problems, whether in the book or from another source, in order to better pinpoint what she doesn't know."
"Today, we covered two dimensional motion (projectiles) and basics of vector analysis. The student seemed to have understood all the key concepts. I would advise her to review algebra and trigonometry. She is definitely making a lot of progress, and I'm confident that her hard work will pay off."
