"Today I just helped the student clear up any last minute questions he had on the material that will be on his final. We went through his entire review sheet that covered four chapters, and he made sure that he understood each kind of concept that would be covered on the final. Overall, our sessions went really well, and he seemed to have a better understanding on most concepts by the end of this session."

This session helped me confirm that the student is solidifying all the concepts in his head and making connections between different concepts (e.g. graph transformations)."

"We covered probability, trigonometry, and derivatives from a practice exam. The student has a great attitude toward learning the material. She was struggling a little bit with finding tangent lines at a specific point on a function. Since the last time we met she had remembered a lot of things that we went through, and that was a big win."
"Student 1 reported that he has not really learned anything new. He took a test on Module 19, but he does not know his grade for it. He had an in class project dealing with polynomials last week from Monday through Wednesday. I gave him practice on multiplying polynomials using FOIL method and distributive property, and I introduced him to dividing and factoring polynomials. He handled the practice problems very well. Student 2 says that they have been reviewing slope-intercept form, and he got a 92% on the project that he turned in a few weeks ago. I gave him problems on slope-intercept form, systems of linear equations, FOIL method and distributive property; he handled the problems well. They both had good attitudes today."
"We worked on applications of derivatives such as critical points, inflection points and determining absolute extrema. We also looked at optimization problems, mean value theorem and finished with L'Hopital's Rule."
