Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had a good session. She spent the majority of the time working on titration problems. They are long and complex, but she did very well with the problems. I tried to give her basic steps and ideas of how to approach each type of problem."
"Today, we worked on deciphering math word problems. We worked on identifying key phrases to help identify what steps the student needs to take to solve the problem. We also continued to work on spelling skills."
"Today's first session was great! One thing the student needs to work on is his reading. We read and discussed what went on to enhance his comprehension skills. He also needs to work on handwriting. He has so much fun trying to guess what letter I was going to ask him to write next. Homework is to reread the pages we read, and practice his writing. He couldn't believe how fast the hour went!"
"We continue to work in the student's grade 5 language arts book, and we have only three lessons to complete! This book has been very good with reviewing and emphasizing the fundamentals of grammar especially through diagramming sentences. It also works on the premise of repeated exposure to concepts and definitions. It is a very good course. She continues to do very well in her work."
"We did all verbal review today. The student did nice work on many of the SCs - just try to incorporate the rules we've discussed! She's taking a bit long on the CRs, so we'll continue to examine ways to come to more quick, definitive answers."
