Jeff ...fondness for test prep. Although I'm happy to work with both in-person and online students, I believe that I would be most helpful to students who are looking for an online tutor, as I currently teach back-to-back classes at an online university and am comfortable with the interface and expectations. Previously, I worked as a tutor in a tutoring lab, where I would tutor in an open lab hour-for-hour up to the number of credits...

Robert ...from a subject that they dread to something fun! That is very satisfying to me as a teacher/tutor. My style is really simple, find something that the student is interested in and help them relate that topic to Math. That and practice, practice, practice. But once you understand the basics, it really becomes fun, like solving puzzles. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Management, a Master's in Business Administration, and a Master's in Accountancy....

Frederick Hello! My name is Frederick, I'm an engineering student at UNF. I'm a math and science tutor and would love to help a student who is ready to learn.... My teaching philosophy is if you can raise a student’s confidence with a lesson, it’s more helpful than anything else is. I've struggled over the years with certain subjects and can completely understand what it’s like to be a frustrated student. I want to try and show students that they can do it, and with that confidence boost to go back at the lesson with a better attitude, thus a better gain of knowledge.

Leo Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing the look on a student's face when he/she has just grasped a difficult concept.... My teaching philosophy is difficult concepts are merely combinations of simple concepts. If you show a student that all the pieces are straightforward, they broaden their horizons and reach great heights.... In a first session with a new student, I would find out what interests them so I can draw analogies from that area. I would also assess what they know already on the topic we will be studying so I know more clearly what I should assist them with.

I'm also available for ACT and SAT test prep -- and work especially well with students who are visual learners (though...
