"Mole, molarity, solving problems based on the above concepts, conversion between different units, and Stoichiometry related problems."
"The student just had a test and started a new chapter. This chapter was just added to the book and grazes a lot if different subjects. The student did a few problems in each section of chapter 7."
"We went over empirical formulas, balancing equations, precipitation reactions, acid/base reactions. He needs a bit of help with math. I told him to study the book along with the study guide and redo problems we did today. We will continue to work in this area."
"We covered properties of gas equations. The student just needed some clarification on how to set up the equations. She has a great attitude toward learning the material, and catches on very quickly. I showed her some important basics about keeping track of terminologies in chemistry."
"We went over Lewis structures and VSEPR theory for chemistry. The student knew how to form Lewis structures and wanted clarification on how to determine the shapes for molecules. We went over questions she had already completed to check her work. She explained what structure she got and how she got there, so it was easy to tell that she understood what she was doing. For algebra 2, we went over more quadratic equations, using the quadratic formula and completing the square. She remembered the quadratic formula and had no issues using it. She wasn't as confident with completing the square, so we went over additional practice problems using problem sets. We were able to cover the range of problem types."
"We went over solubility rules and writing balanced equations from names and determining net ionic equations. The student seems to understand the material very well and from what I heard he is doing well on exams and in class material."
