Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over chapter one today. The student should review it and understand, remember the grammar. Next time we can move on to the new chapter."
"I spent this session working with the student. We spent most of the time on a 5-paragraph essay on the Declaration of Independence. We then worked on some math homework, which he did well on."
"We practiced action words and the sentence patterns "after...", "before..." Then we studied Lesson 10 about telling time and talking about our daily schedule."
"We covered irregular verbs with different meanings in the preterite and relative pronouns. The student quickly mastered the concepts and had little trouble completing the practice problems correctly."
"We covered the conjugation of imperfect tense verbs. The student was learning how to conjugate the verbs very well. I included some picture charts for her to see the change of the verbs. The session went pretty well."
"We covered the informal affirmative and negative "tu" commands with regular, irregular, stem changing verbs and pronoun placement. The students interacted each other, doing exercises with the application of the grammatical concepts. Student 1 still struggles a little with the use of the commands with certain verbs, but he will continue practicing with Student 2 with more written exercises. Both also practiced reading and comprehension, by reading a press article from a Hispanic newspaper. They are very cooperative and interact in a very positive way throughout the session. They have a pretty good conversation level."
