Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed adding and subtracting fractions with and without like denominators. We then moved on to dividing fractions. After looking at a dividing fractions study guide, he went through a few problems and quickly caught on how to complete the problems. He noticed that there were fewer steps in completing fractions when dividing compared to adding and subtracting fractions. He did well on each problem. For homework, I left a dividing fraction worksheet."
"The student and I reviewed concepts. We looked at relations and functions, standard and slope intercept form of lines, and graphing inequalities. It's all starting to come back to her."
"The student and I reviewed her homework from Monday, finished another chapter of her workbook, and figured out the schedule for next week. "
"The student and I reviewed his algebra homework. We focused on subtracting and adding polynomials. He's improved significantly since I first started working with him. However, he still struggles with wrapping his head around negative numbers."
"The student and I reviewed Mean, Median, and Mode of lists in addition to learning the Mean Absolute Deviation. He also worked on the concept of multiplying and dividing with negative values. His attitude was fine. We practiced basic multiplication of positive and negative numbers."
"The student and I spent our time preparing for a retake of a test he has coming up, specifically combining numbers using scientific notation and finding square and cube roots. He intuitively understood the subjects, and made clear that once he starts practicing, he is able to solidify his skills."
