Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed proofs using triangle, lines, and angle properties. We also went through his life schedule to see if there is room to increase studying time to improve test scores. I will speak with his mother about that later."
"Today we reviewed the rules for finding the length of chords that intersect within a circle, and the length of secant segments. We also reviewed the rules for inscribed angles, central angles, exterior angles, and interior angles of a circle."
"Today we reviewed the student's geometry homework on determining side length using the internal angles of a triangle and indirect proofs, and molecular structures and polarity. She did very well on each problem. Her critical thinking skills and ability to logically work through problems is improving."
"Today we started working on quadrilaterals: rhombus, rectangle, square, and parallelogram. These seemed to be coming much faster and easier for the girls! I'm hoping this will help them end the semester on a high note!"
"Today we went over a worksheet and exit slip from class dealing with the Pythagorean theorem and proving a triangle to be a right obtuse or acute triangle. The student excelled in this, so I decided to go further and start elements of SOHCAHTOA. She was slow at first but was able to get a basic understanding and should be well ahead the other students when her teacher covers it in class."
"Today we went over congruent triangles. The student hasn't gone over this material in class yet. We were being proactive for her quiz. Her attitude today was upbeat and positive, as always. I left her with homework to review the different postulates."
