Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over the problems she missed on her last quiz. I also helped her with her homework on graphing trig functions. She was having trouble understanding them at first but she gets them now."
"The student and I went through his S.A.T. preparation course material. We worked on some algebra problems that involved inequalities and graphical interpretations of basic functions. He had some difficulty with the material at first, mainly because he had not been exposed to it for a while. After some reviewing, he was able to work more independently."
"The student and I worked on factoring higher order polynomials and identifying increasing and decreasing portions of polynomial functions. We covered methods for evaluating and graphing polynomials, and discussed long division and how to identify factors for factoring high order polynomials."
"The student and I worked on finding possible zeros to a polynomial using the P&Q method. We worked on examples that will help her in her quiz. We also covered finding the range of upper and lower bound of the zeros to help eliminate which zeros are not possible."
"The student and I worked on finding the limit definitions of a derivative. We used both definitions to work through some practice problem, analyze graphs, and work backwards to find the original f(x) given a limit definition. We also reviewed the Squeeze Theorem and limit properties."
"The student and I worked on her current homework on finding complex zeros. We also went back over some of her previous sections to go over some material that she did not completely understand. The student is comprehending the majority of the material, but this last section was a little complicated, so she is not completely clear after going through it. Naturally we will keep going over this moving forward."
