"The student and I completed Weaken Questions and Cause and Effect Reasoning in the Logical Reasoning Bible."
"We continued to work on logic games and logical reasoning games today. The student continues to improve in both areas. For homework, he continues to work in all three subject areas."
"Prior to our session, I asked the student to review conditional reasoning with respect to logical reasoning questions and to do some relevant drills. She arrived at our session with some great questions, and we were able to use her questions to guide our session for the most part. We first reviewed sufficient and necessary conditions and how to identify the sufficient versus the necessary. I gave her sample conditional statements and asked her to diagram them. She had a bit of trouble at first with identifying the sufficient versus the necessary, but I believe once she has memorized the common indicators for both that she will be able to grasp diagramming them correctly more easily. We subsequently reviewed how to diagram either/or, either/or but not both, and neither/nor relationships as well as conditional statements with multiple variables. We applied these newly learned concepts to actual logical reasoning questions, and, for the most part, the student seemed to show evidence of better understanding. We will continue to practice both of these types of problems to build that comfort level. For homework, I asked the student to review must be true and weakening logical reasoning questions before our next session and to do at least one full diagnostic to gauge her progress thus far."
