Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We used this session to complete some practice problems on stationary points, slope and normals. An overall good session."
"During our second session we discussed applied optimization, the first derivative, and global vs regional maxima and minima. The student improved on her knowledge."
"Topics covered: Find derivative, equation of tangent and normal lines at a point for explicit and implicit functions."
"The student and I met today for one final review for her final exam. She had worked through all of the practice tests posted by her teacher and didn't have any significant problems getting to the answers. Based on our session, she should do very well on her final tomorrow."
"The student and I went over derivatives and integrals for his test. He wasn't struggling with the concepts on his test, but rather needed a refresher. He attempted to make plenty of progress on the concepts being tested, as he wanted to go over the homework and the practice test questions for his make up test. I have him pointers for memorization of the Quotient Rule, but he knew that already, and simple u-substitution for derivatives. There would be extra practice through his homework, but I will give him problems for his final on Tuesday. I saw very good progress throughout the session, as he seemed to understood logarithmic rules, properties of derivatives, and compounded interest. He seems capable of passing his test tomorrow."
"Worked on reviewing for the student's final. Spoke about independence of random variables, covariance, and the expectation of the product of two random variables. We also reviewed joint probability density functions and worked examples that required integration."
