"We completed the student's concluding paragraph for her Esperanza Rising essay. We also went back through to make sure the essay read through nicely and did final edits. We finished the last worksheet on inequalities in her 7th grade math workbook. Then, we started working on angles in the geometry section. She identified acute, obtuse, and right angles. We discussed complimentary and supplementary angles."
"The student and I reviewed vocabulary and worked on answering questions from the texts. He and I worked on perfecting his pubic presentation due tomorrow on Aristophanes, and we also practiced inferential analytical/critical-thinking skills by answering question on the Trojan War."
"For language arts, we spoke about adjectives and reviewed our discussion on verbs. She had not done her assignment from last week, so I worked through it with her. She still is having some trouble in the subjects of grammar and history, so I'd like to reinforce the importance of working on these subjects. With nouns, verbs, and adjectives having been studied, we are mostly through the sentence parts and I hope to go back to the beginning on sentence formation once we cover each individual part."
"We continued preparation for Lewis and Clark test. Acted out vocabulary terms, facts and reviewed vocabulary words. The student learns well through imaginative based activities."
"I helped the student review and revise one writing assignment and work on developing another for the first half of the lesson. He worked on his math homework for the rest of our time together."
"The student and I started her new math unit on fractions, and planned out a tall tale she is going to write in class"
