Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we prepared for the student's exam on Tuesday by going over ionic compound nomenclature and electron orbital theory."
"The student and I went over electron and molecular configuration, dipole moments, and intermolecular forces. Overall she is doing very well with the material."
"Student completed Lesson 2 worksheet and sample stoichiometry problems. Student will complete Lesson 2 quiz next session."
"We reviewed limiting reagents, excess reagents, balancing equations, and percent yield. The student was struggling with the definition of limiting reagents and percent yields, but had a positive attitude and was motivated to solve the practice problems. I taught her the analogy between chemical equations and limiting reagents to a recipe and the ingredient that runs out first. She should finish the practice sheet. She was doing a great job solving the limiting reagent problems after we went over the concept."
"We reviewed nomenclature. The student struggled with the modifications associated with nomenclature. The student's attitude toward the material that was reviewed was positive. I left an outline on when to use which strategies. There is still a minimal concern with algebra skills every now and then, but he is grasping the concepts and can apply them."
"We reviewed the student's past unit on nomenclature, as he had some trouble with it on his previous test. We also reviewed ionic and covalent compounds and took a look at the sections that we may need to review before his final exam."
