Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on a review packet for the final that covered solving trigonometric functions, simplifying and proving trigonometric expressions, using the reference angle to find the trigonometric ratios of angles around the unit circle or the coordinates of the terminal side of an angle with the unit circle, solving functions with radicals and complex numbers."
"I reviewed for the Math final with the student. He seemed very confident in being able to pass his test with an A. I believe he will as well."
"The student and I played multiplication BINGO to help him practice his multiplication. We also went through some word problems to help prepare him for Singapore Math. He is really intelligent and just needs to work on his speed."
"During this session we prepared for the student's upcoming AP exam. We worked on long-response questions to review concepts he wanted to refresh his memory on. We covered integration, limits, differentiation, separation of variables and mean value theorem. He remembered these concepts and was able to understand them."
"Today the student and I reviewed trigonometric functions, identities, as well as complex numbers, Euler's formula, and complex conjugates. Much of the material she hasn't seen in a few years and going through it helps the pieces come together for her. Reinforcing these building blocks will be necessary to really understand more complex math, so we have focused on being thorough and making sure these concepts really stick."
"We worked on subtraction problems. We also used flashcards with both addition and subtraction problems."
