Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session, we reviewed for the student's test this Friday. The content including hypothesis testing involving a mean, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, correlation, and regression. We calculated SS, test statistics, and compared tests statistics to critical values."
"Today we reviewed the student's study packet to prepare him for his statistics test on Tuesday. The topics we went over included correlation, linear regression lines, explanatory and response variables, lurking vs confounding variables, and residuals. She had a positive attitude towards the material that was being reviewed."
"Today we rigorously reviewed for the student's upcoming exam in statistics, paying special attention to the areas of Bayesian Probability and regression analysis. The student expressed concern with the probability section, and so we had been spending extra time reviewing that. Excellent progress."
"Today we started off by reviewing what was covered last week. We went on to incorporate that into increasing/decreasing functions and finding holes. The student seems to have a hard time with his algebra but has shown some improvement."
"Today we studied for the student's exam. We discovered that making sketches can really help with knowing when to use the complement rule on a Z-table. She struggled a little with making typos, so I suggested during her test, after she has completed all questions, with remaining time double check work working backwards. She has made great progress with understanding how to use the complement rule."
"Today we talked about population and sample means and variances, the law of large numbers, the central limit theorem, statistical inference, the meaning of random, probability, Benford's law, and personal probability."
