Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I met with the student following a long break. He is starting a new semester. We went over the tutorial for his new math class. It is online, and the answers are entered into the computer. I also helped him with a summary for an article for his English class. We went over topic, purpose, and the angle of the article. It is always a pleasure working with him."
"The student has a test next week. We reviewed solving systems of equations by substitution and graphing. Although she told me she was not good at graphing when I asked her, she actually graphed perfectly and without hesitation."
"Today, we looked at solving systems of equations by graphing. The student had to identify if each system had a solution. Each problem was based on finding intersections between linear equations. The work today was a direct continuation of the material from the last week and a half. The student has the general concepts down."
"Multiplication of binomials and polynomials and their applications were the topics covered. The student showed good progress and understanding of the material, and I gave her a couple of problems to try to test her understanding."
"The student has an upcoming midterm exam. She had a review sheet from her teacher, so I had her attempt all the problems and discussed the procedures and the solutions."
"We worked on multiplying fractions. I got the student to understand the "cross cancel/reduce" concept. We then went over a few pages in her ACT book. She is enjoying math better now and is more confident than before."
