Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on finding an equation of a line and then reviewed the properties of a function. He then learned how to solve a system of two equations by graphing, substituting and eliminating. He slightly struggles with elimination so we will touch on it again. We ended the lesson with system of equation world problems. We didn't get to finish this topic but will need to spend more time on translating words into expressions."
"The student and I prepared for his quiz tomorrow. The topics of study were laws of exponents, exponential growth/decay, interest rate and solving a quadratic function using square roots. The student's mom sat in on the session. They were both really enthusiastic about the material. The session went very well, and I do believe that the student will be more than prepared for tomorrow's quiz."
"The student and I focused on Algebra I. We reviewed domain and range and handling quadratic equations. We found axes, vertices, and ordered pairs. I reviewed graphing, functions, and simplifying negative values. The student understands the material very well."
"The student and I covered identifying graphs of various functions, translating word problems into quadratic equations, and inequalities, and solving them."
"We prepared for the student's upcoming assessment exam. We practiced questions involving equation-variable, percentages, statistics, and probability."
"I went over simplifying rational expressions with the student(mainly getting common denominators). I met with the student and went over long division and long multiplication."
