"We did mock tests to prepare the student for his exam on Chapter 6 tomorrow. I am confident that he should get an A on this exam. His grades were in the 85-100 range. Overall he seems very prepared."
"The student could not locate her math book, so we worked on Spanish today. She had a few lessons to complete on the computer based on a reading from the book and the vocabulary words she has been working on that deal with family members. Overall it was a good class!"
"The student is working on a chapter that focuses on imperfect and preterite and uses food vocabulary. He completed two workbook pages: conjugating verbs into the imperfect, choosing the correct word to complete a story logically, and using imperfect and preterite together to express the conditions present when some action happened. His general facility with vocabulary is good, but he was struggling a bit with the imperfect verb endings and irregular verbs. We talked about what he might do to work on that, so he will be creating a study sheet with the regular conjugations and some of the most used irregular verbs."
"I reviewed the present tense verb conjugation, the imperfect verb tense, and practiced speaking for about 45 minutes. The student's weakest point is speaking, but when questioned does know the basic structure of the grammar. I want to continue working on his speaking abilities. Before Thursday I asked him to get any copy of tests he could so I can work with him on those as well."
"We went words to turn locations such as "to the right" and "close to." It also had a list of color names. The boys already know these words quite well. Student 1 has written one of the words out for purple twenty times. Student 2 wants to learn Spanish, and he wants to learn other things as well. At the end we saw more of the movie "Ponyo" in Spanish. They really relate to it and are thus getting a feel for Spanish, following the story line, and having fun while doing so."
"We were able to do all the exercises and videos planned for the unit "Organisation." The student will watch the unit "Migration" as homework and complete a summary of the context."
