"Great session today. We went figured out her current grade, and also figured out what she needs on her final. Content-wise, we covered intracellular transport. Different routes included ER to Golgi and exocytosis in general. Other mechanisms involved endocytosis via endosomes and the clatherin proteins involved in those processes. We touched up on chaperones and the function within the ER lumen, and also some problems that arise from protein folding and transportation such as Diabetes Type II and cystic fibrosis."
"The student and I began preparing for the exam. We worked from the Review book covering 3 chapters corresponding to Chap 1-8 in the textbook. We reviewed specific topics and then completed 10 questions on cell respiration. I focused on the chemistry of life (polarity, fxnal groups, and redox rxns). He is doing really well."
"Today we went over one of the student's old tests, covering Atomic structure and the history of the Atom. We managed to get through the multiple choice section in about an hour, with the student averaging about 80% correct without me needing to help."
