Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student studied vocabulary and some verb conjugations for a test. We reviewed the -ar, --er, and -ir conjugations, some verbs, how to tell time, and how to ask for the time. We corrected some translations that in the study guide that were correct. He has a good knowledge and is very independent, when I arrive he has already reviewed the topics."
"We went over the use of the verbs ser and estar and the different reasons to use each one of them. The student had homework to do on those verbs. We also practice with flashcards, the spelling of the vocabulary that she has learned so far. She got 100 in her last Spanish quiz, and she's having a quiz this week about the verbs ser and estar."
"The student and I drilled the verb and vocabulary terms from last week, which she had memorized marvelously. We then spent the rest of the lesson on splitting up "llamarse" into its different parts to know how to use the expression for all different types of persons (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) Next week we will drill that and move on."
"The student did very well this morning in learning new vocabulary words. He knows so many already and we put those to use to by deciphering sentences written in Spanish into English. I also introduced new phrases in Spanish for him to practice moving forward."
"In our last class, I helped the student with some questions he had regarding the previous homework. I also helped him make a plan for his future Spanish classes. I am very proud of him because he has learned so much. He is an excellent student and I will miss him."
"We reviewed the student's learning needs. She is very receptive to improving and mostly just needs help with some grammar. We went over the imperfect tense in Spanish and she will practice that before our next session. She speaks very well and with a little help will be able to speak even better!"
