Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued with her notes on the properties and applications of limits, continuity and graphing of single-variable functions. I explained several points in her notes in more intuitive, or operational, ways so that she knows when to use them. We also reviewed some older concepts like algebra, which she needs to use in graphing and analyzing the limits and continuity of those functions. We then practiced on several problems in her book."
"We worked on derivatives, instantaneous rate of change, tangent and normal lines, and derivative rule proofs in preparation for the student's calculus exam on Tuesday."
"We completed the chapter 1 review questions, going over trigonometric functions, graphing, algebra, composite functions, and rational functions."
"The pupil and I went over his exam review for his math final. We discussed algebra, and he understands the geometry portion very well."
"We went through his final review. We covered the rest of the packet. I explained the concepts to him and showed him how to solve each question and then asked him to solve the similar questions to make sure he understood how he has to solve them. He is doing well and needs to review a little bit on what we covered."
"Yesterday, we reviewed some math concepts on the student's study program. We went over rounding decimals, plotting decimals on number lines, and dividing decimals. We also did some work on the reading section, practicing close reading and finding the central message."
