Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered lipid membrane and integrated protein. The student's attitude was great. We discussed how proteins bind to the membrane and what functions they serve. Everything seemed to come easy for the student today."
"We covered acid and bases. The student had only a few questions. She knew most of the practice AP questions we went over. Overall, she is doing great in AP chemistry."
"We covered most of the chemical equilibrium, and I need to have him try more problems so that I can fill in the knowledge gaps and help him master the content. AP chemistry requires a lot of calculations, and doing problems is definitely a must for a good grade. He follows well and he vocalizes what he gets and doesn't get, which is immensely helpful"
"The student and I worked on his science homework and mitosis. We also worked on converting units of the metric system. He did a really good job and is gaining a good handle and understanding with the material. He needs to slow down some at times. I gave him practice problems for homework that we will review next week."
"The student and I worked on ideal gas law and the first and second law of thermodynamics. The student is very strong in mathematics and in solving equations. He is making great progress and is striving for an A on the final."
"The student and I worked on meiosis. She was already knowledgeable of the subject but just wanted more practice and reinforcement. We started with the differences between meiosis and mitosis. After reviewing the differences with her, I added questions to the board that she could work on. She performed really well on those questions. Next, we covered oogenesis in the same fashion. We first reviewed the cycle, and then we worked on questions, which she also performed well on. She had a very positive attitude throughout the session and came in ready to learn. I believe that she is better equipped for her exam and will do exceptionally!"
