College Application Essay Workshop
Grades 9-12
This small-group class is designed to help high school students brainstorm and write their college application essays. Over the course of four sessions, students will learn about the importance of the essay, explore common prompts, and generate topics through guided brainstorming exercises. The class will also cover tips on editing, revising, and finalizing essays for submission, and provide strategies for time management and overcoming writer’s block and procrastination. The goal of the class is to help students feel confident in their ability to write a compelling essay that highlights their unique qualities and experiences, and to provide them with the tools they need to successfully complete their college applications.
