Formed in 1989 as the Atlanta International Museum of Art & Design, MODA has grown and evolved over the years to become the Southeast’s only design museum.

About the class

What was life like in Ancient Egypt? What did Ancient Egyptian culture, architecture, and technology look like? Time travel with the experts from Museum of Design Atlanta to find out! As we learn what life was like in the past, we'll recreate it with LEGOs. This fun, hands-on workshop will strengthen creativity and ideation skills, teach the design mindset, and provide an entertaining entry point into world history!

Meet your expert instructor, Thomas.

Thomas Hayes recently graduated from New York University with a degree in sustainable urban design. His specialties include sustainability and climate change, as well as green activism. He is also an avid gardener! Prior to attending NYU, he worked for the University of Miami's Rosensteil School, researching the Atlantic Sailfish. He also has over eight years of coaching experience in both archery and rowing and loves LEGO.
