About the class
It's the spookiest time of the year, and we're celebrating by learning about one of nature's most daunting creatures — the tarantula! But does this incredible arachnid deserve its fearsome reputation? Butterfly Pavilion will help us find out as we explore different tarantula species and their fascinating adaptations in this hair-raising class. We'll even meet a live tarantula!
Meet your instructor, Calais.
Calais Thomas has been educating herself and others about animals for the past eight years. She has worked with animals ranging from elephants to snails and anything in between! At Butterfly Pavilion, her work in developing and leading programs onsite and virtually connects all ages to invertebrate animals.
