Space Camp (Ages 9-10)
Grades 4-5
Space Camp takes your young learner on a zero-gravity ride through our solar system and beyond. They’ll meet new friends, learn from renowned astro-experts, and add some rocket fuel to their curiosity. Over the course of an exhilarating week, space explorers will join their crew for daily, hands-on missions; take on Cosmic Challenges led by astronauts and rocket scientists; and embark on outdoor discoveries to measure galactic distances and find phenomena in the night sky. Buckle up your Kuiper Belt and be ready to explore:
Mission 1: Rocket Science 101—How Humans Get To Space
Mission 2: The Solar System—Earth’s Amazing Neighborhood
Mission 3: Rovers, Probes, & Telescopes—How Humans Explore Deep Space
Mission 4: Adventures in Astronomy—Understanding the Night Sky
Mission 5: Amateur Astrophysics—Supernovae, Black Holes, & The Big Bang
