Brainteasers Camp (Ages 11-13)

Grades 6-8

Which muscle gets more energy the more it exercises? The brain, of course, and that’s why the Brainteasers Camp is the perfect place for kids to exercise their brains and make new friends this summer. Each day for a week, campers will take on new riddles, puzzles, and illusions—and learn how to create them to challenge their friends, family, and fellow campmates. Each session will include individual and team challenges, chances for campers to create their own brainteasers, and an after-camp Cerebral Challenge in the Learning Lab. Campers will come away with new critical thinking skills, but may be having too much fun to realize they learned lifelong logic lessons

Day 1 - Optical Illusions & Magical Mind Tricks: You won’t believe your eyes as you explore optical illusions and sleight-of-hand magic tricks, and learn the techniques behind how they fool our eyes.

Day 2 - Riddles & Logic Games: Learn to answer—and create—seemingly unanswerable questions using logical deduction and an appreciation for misdirection.

Day 3 - Math Mindbenders & Gaming Genius: Flex your numerical knowledge with collaborative puzzles from Math Olympiad and by developing strategies for number-driven games like Yahtzee, Connect Four, and more.

Day 4 - Cracking Codes & Tackling Trivia: What do codes and trivia questions have in common? They tend to include clues for those who know how to find them, a skill you’ll master as you tackle these challenges.

Day 5 - Brainteaser Bonanza: Stump your campmates and test your newfound logic skills as you create and compete in challenges of all types.
