Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has started a new chapter in the book on Work and Energy. He is still new to this topic, so we went over mostly conceptual questions."
"The student and I finished his class homework for Chapter 9 - Fluids. We also reviewed a little bit of electromagnetism and practiced his estimating skills for the assessment math-based problems."
"We went through the student's notes and review sheets on electric fields, electric potential, difference in electric potential, forces due to electric fields, and work done in electric fields."
"The extent to which the teacher wants to test is a bit surprising to the student. The teacher did not dive into topics like centripetal acceleration and gravitation to the level that would worry her. She was a bit taken aback because the material did not appear difficult at all. I cautioned her to beware of potential traps. She aspires to get an A in this class, and I see no reason why she shouldn't."
"During this session, a physics project involving dropping an egg in a homemade container allowing the egg to fall without breaking from a height of 2 meters was completed (topics include momentum and impulse). In addition, problems from a HW packet covering the same topics were discussed and completed."
"We covered more kinematics problems in preparation for the student's upcoming exam. We covered rotational motion and summed forces for objects acted on by a centripetal force. Today's session went well."
