Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We completed revision for the final exam dictation and reviewed the verbs connaitre et savoir and when to use them. We also went over verbs of 1st, 2nd, and third group. Then, we covered a complete revision of verbs conjugated in the present time use of negative and positive statements."
"We covered when to use verbs in past and imperfect tenses. The student was happy he found a new method for grouping and conjugating verbs in past and imperfect tenses. I also gave him some questions and the tricks to responding to any kind of question. Overall, the session was an excellent one."
"We practiced speaking both interpersonally and presentationally for the AP exam. The student mentioned she scored a 93 on her pronoun test, which was a great improvement. She is greatly gaining confidence and range of vocabulary when speaking in French."
"The student and I reviewed several topics from her book for the upcoming semester. We decided to schedule sessions as needed, according to whatever grammar topics or testing situations she might want help with."
"The student and I began our time with conversation practice. She and I then reviewed the most recent grammar concept covered in class, the present participle. Since her class is studying French fables (as well as other types of French folklore), we read and discussed a fable by La Fontaine. We then reviewed and discussed Tristan and Iseult, a reading her French class has been studying. After that we spent some time reviewing various verb tenses. We then spent more time conversing in French. Finally, we read and discussed another French fable."
"The student and I corrected his written responses to questions I had set out regarding Cyprian's "Draw My Life." We spent the rest of the lesson discussing the best next step for his process. We determined that immersion in class and writing, reading, and listening homework outside of class would be our best use of time and his high level. I sent him homework to be completed for the next lesson."
