Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student's mom interviewed me, and we discussed the student's concerns. I requested to view documentation provided from her school. I will meet with her tomorrow to address her Reading speed and Math facts."
"The student and I did a lot of division of complex numbers. I think by the end she understood how to find and utilize the complex conjugate. We also solved a few quadratics with (of course) complex conjugate roots."
"We discussed the pathophysiology of anemias. We discussed the physical findings that a patient would present with and the treatment for each. I am sending her questions and the altered notes that we created during the session."
"The student and I started with introduction and review of past scores on the ACT. We discussed test-taking strategies, and what he felt were his strong and weak points in the different sections of the test. He feels that he needs the most work with grammar, so the remainder of our session was spent doing practice problems from the English section of the ACT and working on grammar rules and concepts. Working with him was great, and I look forward to the progress we will make over the course of future sessions."
"This is my first time with the student and It is obvious that she is a bright student. We spent our first day going over basic testing skills for each section and giving her strategies to do well on the test."
"We did some more sentence equivalences and honed in on the short argumentative passages for reading comprehension. The student seems a lot more confident with both of these types of questions, and he did quite well on a recent practice test. We continued to work on word problems, and we also did extra practice on probability. We can do a little more work on accounting for all possible solutions."
