"Final exam prep. Limits, continuity. The first/second derivative. Maxima/minima. Point of inflection definition."
"The student and I reviewed topics from last year in her packet, including adding and multiplying rational expressions, graphing rational quadratic equations, and solving systems of equations."
"This session we covered finding the area under polar curves and their arc length. The student seemed to understand the material well."
"I helped the student with finding the volume formed by the curves with the washer method. She worked on homework problems, of which I helped her along. She understood the method involved in solving those problems well and was able to solve most of them on her own. She sometimes had difficulty figuring out the actual volume that we are finding from the graphs, so I helped her with that as well. She is improving in her problem solving skills."
"Overall good session. The student has test tomorrow and is having problems with the shell method. We went over the differences between disk and shell and worked through some problems. I have assigned more problems to do before the test so he can practice. The student needs to understand shell method better and have more practice."
