Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session we finished squared test homework and began the review process focusing on normal distributions and conditional probability. No extra practice or concerns. May reschedule sessions based on client's final exam schedule."
"The student and I reviewed up her remaining homework assignments today. They included chi-squared tests, F distributions, as well as a variety of conceptual problems. Much of the work was tedious calculation, but we made it through the entirety. We're planning on one more session in order to prepare for her final exam. She needs to score 60% or higher in order to secure a B in the course."
"This was the first session with the student to help with her college statistics course. We went over questions she had on her first week's assignment, and worked on topics of graphing data and describing distributions, standard deviation."
"The student and I rehashed confidence intervals and tests of statistical significance (both for proportions). More of the knowledge seemed to stick this time as he was sick the last time we met. Where we will go next is unclear, as the school year is winding down and his teacher has not made it clear what chapters/topics will be next."
"The student took her online exam and I helped her when she needed it to coax her through problems that she was struggling with. We both agree that she has a grasp on the material and problems. She shows that she wants to know what a problem is asking and have a greater understanding of statistics, which is great to see. She earned an 80% on her exam which is progress, and she was really happy about. No concerns with this session."
"We reviewed some major concepts from PowerPoint slides for the first two chapters. The student also completed homework assignments 1 and 2, which were problems assigned on the blackboard."
