Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We discussed the student's labs. She had an issue with the result for her adder/subtracter being undefined. I explained that we needed to add an additional part to the circuit that turned on when the sub bit was not set. We added it and the lab worked. We also talked over some questions on the end of the lab regarding number of gates for an adder."
"We covered linked lists in greater detail, looked at HashSets and answered a few questions about the upcoming final."
"The student requested that we work on some HTML today. I decided to let him lead a little with his interests, which he said was 3D programming using Processing.js. However, he became vexed with this, so we went to a straight-forward HTML review. We reviewed the use of basic CSS and tables for output formatting. The goal was to begin to give him a skeleton for programming in Processing.js in a standard website. Clearly, next session, I will need to be a bit more forceful with the planned course of studies-he needed slightly more structure than we had at the beginning. However, I was somewhat hard-pressed to provide him with a new starting point, as this was our first online programming session."
