Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed the algebraic math concepts that were introduced to her in school before break. Using worksheets that I provided, she practiced translating verbal phrases to algebraic expressions and solving algebraic expressions given the variable solutions."
"The student and I reviewed the notes for her upcoming test. She understood most of it, but wanted to talk with me about some of it to help her clear up a few things in her head. She is a sharp gal, and will do fine on her test. She knows what to do and has confidence. She is a pleasure to work with."
"The student and I reviewed the paperwork for the science experiment that he had done. We cleaned it up a little to make it more clear for the reader. He did very well and understood the concept of writing in an easy-to- understand manner. We then worked on a review of his math homework, which was multiplying two double-digit numbers. He was a bit shaky at first, but felt confident about the material at the end of the session. He did a really great job today!"
"The student and I reviewed the questions on his test. We developed some finer methods for using and proving mapping functions. We will continue to work on his test on Saturday. I will send him a sample question to check his understanding tomorrow via email. Next week, we should work on Stoke's theorem, curl, and divergence."
"The student and I reviewed the rest of the guide from his teacher for his cumulative exam. We followed up on a remainder of the questions he had regarding some of the topics and problems we reviewed in our last session. He did really well on his chapter 6 test, so I believe that will boost his confidence and give him some momentum going into the cumulative exam."
"The student and I reviewed the same material as last week, which was linear equation graphing and finding missing angles. I also introduced him to what will be coming up, which is positive, negative, 0, and undefined slope, as well as writing linear equations from graphs. After this, he should soon be getting into system of equations. Keep up the good work!"
