Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In our first session, the student and I covered production possibilities, along with the related concepts of comparative advantage, absolute advantage, and opportunity costs. We also discussed the inputs of trade and specialization. She was very attentive and asked questions when needed. She needed assistance with the computations. I believe she grasped the concepts well by the end of our session. To study for her quiz, I suggested to review the explanations provided in her online course module that appear after completing the homework. When approaching problems, I also suggested to record information provided in the question and work through it on paper with tables and graphs. I thought the session was a 'win' overall and I hope she did as well! She did a fine job on her homework (perfect score!) and shows more confidence with the material."
"The student and I discussed an excellent article related to the historical foundations of capitalism and the concepts of trust, ethics, lowered transactional costs, business dealings and operations, and trade facilitation. We also covered the concepts of capitalism vs. socialism vs. communism as well."
"Today we switched from Macroeconomics to Microeconomics. The student is preparing for both of her AP tests, which are at the end of the week. Today we mainly focused on market structures, cost and revenue curves, and other basic concepts. Next section will involve practice."
