Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed and did extensive markup of two sections of the student's thesis proposal: 1) Medical and Dental Professional Knowledge of IPV, and 2) Tools for Assessing IPV."
"We worked on honing the student's thesis and arguments as well as finding strong evidence and making sure to analyze it after quoting it."
"The student made her outline from last time into an essay. Now both essays are written, and I will see her tomorrow to discuss each of the essays."
"Today, the student and I worked on irregular verbs. We identified the 5 types and made up sentences for the remainder of the list we began yesterday. I left her with a worksheet and crossword puzzle on past participle verbs. She demonstrated an excellent attitude toward the work."
"Today, we continued our work with the past tense. The student has memorized the irregular verbs in simple past, and we were able to have simple contextual conversations with these words. She read a passage out loud with fluency and understanding. She was very perceptive about the difference between the simple past irregular verb and the past participle. I introduced her to the present perfect tense. She continues to be motivated to improve her English."
"Today, we continued with countable and uncountable nouns. We practiced "some," "any," "a few," and "a little." We also worked on articles. The student had prepared for the speaking exercises by doing her homework and answered correctly 90% of the time. She is still a little quiet, but these exercises require more speaking from the students as the material gets more challenging."
