Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I prepared for her midterm tomorrow. Specifically, we covered heredity since she told me that she feels less confident with the topic. We used the review book and I made some sample Punnett square questions to talk about dihybrid crosses. We also solved some questions on crossover and map-units."
"Today we went over Lewis Structures and Binary Compound naming conventions. I showed the student the way to approach drawing Lewis Structures in a way that has several built-in checks for accuracy. We also started reviewing for his upcoming test, in hopes to figure out a better strategy for his independent studying. I left him to make flash cards, and to finish a worksheet of compound naming before we review for his test tomorrow."
"We quickly covered impending questions the student had from chapter 3. I questioned him regarding the answers he gave for homework questions I had assigned at our last session. We then moved on to chapter 5 in his text book and I explained all the concepts with various analogies. He wants to go over this material once again on Friday at our next session."
