Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered the next step in his AP Chem. We did integrated rate constants today and it seems very straightforward. He understood the concepts nicely. It seems that he is integrating the information and retaining it very well!"
"During this session, rotational kinematics was reviewed by completing class-given worksheets. The student had only minor trouble understanding the concepts between using radians instead of meters in the use of kinematics equations."
"We worked on a presentation that he had for his American History class. He had to give a presentation about 6 different "artifacts" from the Revolutionary War. We wrote up the description for each of his artifacts and chose his six artifacts."
"We continued going over review problems. We finished up torque and went over FBD. The student understood everything we went over and feels confident about her final. I told her to study hard but make sure to get sleep because that's equally important."
"We continued going over the student's homework for this coming Tuesday, focusing on solving face-centered cube problems to get to density, types of solids, and some thermodynamics. Throughout the processes, we worked on dimensional analysis to convert from one unit into another. She seemed to really be getting the hang of the cube problems, which were fairly difficult. The thermodynamics questions, especially the ones that required more manipulation of values, were more challenging and may be a good place for review."
"We continued our Calculus 2 review. We covered integration techniques, surfaces of revolution, arc length, integration by parts, integrating trig functions, sequences, infinite series, convergence tests for series, Taylor and Maclaurin series, and the convergence of Taylor series. I tried to emphasize what the most important topics were since there's a somewhat overwhelming amount of material. I think we covered it all pretty well!"
