Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Tonight the student and I reviewed some kinematics-related problems to prepare for his upcoming midterm. He seemed to have a good understanding of the content we were discussing. He's going to continue working through these problems until our next session."
"The student and I reviewed her projectile motion test. There were several of the answers that initially she needed guidance on, but as she looked at the solutions and worked through the algebra, she seemed to understand the material."
"Went over how to do dimensional analysis with different conversions in mass, volume, and length. Also went through the process for converting to moles from grams and liters and how to go to molecules using Avogadro's number."
"We continued through the review guide for chapters 4-6. We went over the rest of the functional groups and how to name more complicated compounds with multiple functional groups, as well as naming cycloalkanes. We also started on reaction kinetics and thermodynamics, looking at free energy, reaction coordinate diagrams, and equilibrium reactions."
"We continued to cover two-sample testing, either for the difference of the mean or for the difference of the proportion given different cases. We used those contents to conduct the hypothesis testing and to construct the confidence interval."
"We continued to review electric fields and potentials. The student understands how to calculate potentials and fields very well. She sometimes needs reminding about the relationship between fields<->forces and potentials<->energy. We will talk next time about magnetism."
