"It was a pleasure to tutor this student. She knows a little bit of French, but we need to work more on it. I loved the session."
"We worked on the student's conversational skills. We chatted about past travel to France and tennis. I assigned homework on the passe compose and masculine/feminine nouns and adjectives."
"In this session with the student, we reviewed some homework she had about the verbs ending in "er" in the present tense. She had to conjugate verbs in a specific person. Another exercise was questions she had to answer to make complete sentences in order to use more verbs. We agreed that tomorrow we will work on possessive adjectives and the future tense."
"The student got a B- on her French test from last week, which is a great improvement from her previous test scores. We will go over the test next week once she gets it back. We reviewed some old concepts tonight, including indirect/direct objects and certain verb conjugations. She is still struggling a bit with conjugating essential verbs like aller, faire, venir, etre, and avoir. I told her to make flashcards for these verbs before our next session. It is really important that she have these conjugations well-memorized. We then worked on her homework due tomorrow, which involved conjugation of -re verbs."
"The student had quite a bit of assigned homework, so he did that and I corrected it afterwards. It was dealing with venir de + an infinitive, and the futur proche. After that, we reviewed etre, ir verbs, and aller, and continued to work on the futur proche. I gave him a reading page with questions, and he read the selection and answered questions about what he had read. Following that, we read a short story in French, and he translated it into English for me. He had a very good attitude throughout the entire session. Last week, he had a French test, and scored 100% on it! That is a big improvement over his last test before he started being tutored."
